RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion) is a scale used in strength training to estimate how close a set was to failure. RPE 10 means maximum effort (failure), RPE 8 means you could have done 2 more reps.

How It Works

RPE Scale
RPE 10 = failure, RPE 9 = 1 rep left, RPE 8 = 2 reps left, RPE 7 = 3 reps left. This subjective scale lets you autoregulate training intensity based on how you feel each session.
